Silchester House wedding

alt

On Saturday 26 November I photographed the wedding of Rachel and Simon at Silchester House.  Silchester House, close to the centre of Silchester, Hampshire, is a wonderful old country house and guests have exclusive use of he property.  This is great for me as a photographer as I get a chance to wander all over the place to find the best location.  Luckily the weather was fine and there had not been too much rain, so the bride and groom were able to walk around the grounds while I took photos in soft autumn sunlight.  Usually I feature a bride and groom photo here, but the one of the bride's father looking happy during his speech while the bride looked on just caught my eye.

Trunkwell House wedding 21 October

Louise and Ian were married at Trunkwell House on 21 October.  It was a little cooler than my other October wedding, but still warm for October and it stayed bright.  The flowers were still out in the garden and we were able to get some more colourful shots than you would expect at this time of year.

Moor Hall wedding 1 October

On 1 October I photographed the wedding of Sarah and Richard at Moor Hall, Cookham.  Moor Hall is a nice management and conference centre just off the high street in Cookham, with some lovely old buildings and an inner park area.  The day was unbelievably hot for 1 October and broke records around the country.  But the beautiful weather brought out the smiles and light was excellent, with some low, long shadows late in the afternoon.

Clock Barn wedding 24 September 11

On 11 September I photographed the wedding of Julia and Ben at Clock Barn, Whitchurch.  This is a lovely country location out in the wilds of the Hampshire countryside.  A piper and guard of honour made this a special day.

Wedding in France 11 September 11

alt

This was a first for me - a wedding in France.  Sara and Kevin got married on 11 September.  The weather had been hot and sunny for some days, well into the 30s, but it cooled down and cloud cam over on the big day.  Actually this may have been a good thing as most people looked a little more comfortable than in the heatwave before the wedding.  In France weddings generally take place at the church and the Mairie, and this was no exception.  With lots of French and English friends and guests there was a lot of translation so that everyone knew what was going on.  The reception took place at the fabulous Chateau Bachac, and by the evening the sun did come out, ending with a beautiful sunset and dancing by the pool.
